Lunch n' Learn: Ohio Innocence Project (11/18)

The Ohio Innocence Project has freed 28 Ohioans from prison who together served 525 years in prison for crimes they didn't commit.   Professor Mark Godsey, cofounder and director of OIP, will talk of OIP's mission and successes, and one of his exonerated clients, Dean Gillispie, will tell his emotional story of serving two decades in prison for crimes he didn't commit.

Research Integrity and You: Insights from the HHS Office of Research Integrity (6/7)

Target Audience: Anyone involved in, or associated with, clinical, translational, and basic research including PIs, trainees, research and administrative staff.

Join Scott Moore, Ph.D., J.D., C.F.E, Deputy Director of the U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services' Office of Research Integrity, in a seminar on research integrity.

Objectives:

  1. Define Research Misconduct and describe its impact
  2. Identify tools to detect research misconduct
  3. Understand the mandate for responsible conduct of research training
  4. Describe the potential consequences of research misconduct
